Effective October 1, 2026
The short version: Whenly keeps everything on your iPhone. We don’t have servers, we don’t create accounts, and we don’t collect, sell, or share your information. We can’t see your reminders, places, or anything else you put in the app.
This policy explains how the Whenly app (“Whenly”), made by Zero9 Labs LLC (“we”), handles information.
Whenly stores the following only on your device:
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. If you delete Whenly, this information is deleted with it.
If you allow it, Whenly uses your location to remind you when you arrive at or leave places you’ve saved. This uses iPhone’s built-in region monitoring, which works on your device; Whenly does not track your route or send your location anywhere. You can turn location access off at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
When you search for an address or save your current location, iPhone’s built-in map service (provided by Apple) looks up the address. Apple’s handling of those lookups is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Whenly’s reminders are local notifications created on your iPhone. Whenly does not use push notifications or any notification server.
If you use Whenly with Siri, Apple processes your voice request under Apple’s Privacy Policy, and Whenly receives only what it needs to perform the action, such as the text of a reminder. Shortcuts automations you set up for Whenly run on your iPhone.
If you export a backup, Whenly creates a file and hands it to the iPhone share sheet. Where it goes (for example, the Files app or an email) is your choice, and it is handled by the service you pick.
Whenly is not directed to children under 13, and it does not collect personal information from anyone.
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
